Hell's Gate
By boat only (~15–20 min run)Two 90-foot limestone cliffs guarding a narrow strait between the mainland and Devil's Island — the most iconic spot on the lake, with 26 feet of deep water below.
- •Boats raft up here all summer; it's the front-row seat for the legendary Fourth of July fireworks.
- •Cliff jumping happens here, but it's genuinely dangerous — every year brings injuries. Not worth it.
- •Go early on the 4th — the cove packs in fast.
